A Little Bit About Me

I was born and raised in Forney, Texas.  My family has been living in the same house since before I was born.  I am grateful that I was able to call Forney home for 18 years, and could not have asked for better people to accompany me through all of the small town ups and downs.

Living in the same small town my entire childhood was an amazing experience, but I had always been curious about what the rest of the world had to offer.  Although it was only a few hours South, I was faced with something I had never done before - moving.  I had no clue how I was going to adjust to the move to San Marcos to attend Texas State University.  It was tough leaving my family, friends, and the ever growing not-so-small-town that helped shape me.  Overcome with a multitude of emotions - excitement, curiosity, fright, optimism, among many other feelings - I was ready to face the world and start my individual journey. 

Surprisingly, I adjusted to the college life relatively quickly.  I surrounded myself with great people and dove into my schoolwork.  My goal for my first semester in school was to push my limits, break any boundary, and tap into my potential.  I did just that - spent countless nights at the library binge studying, spent time pursuing personal endeavors, and took any opportunity I could to better myself.  At the conclusion of my first semester, I believed I had the school side of things down, and was ready to take the next step - finding a job. 

I was willing to do anything to have a few extra dollars to spend on food and the necessities I had deprived myself of as a broke college student.  Luckily, I ended up with a better job than I could have imagined. Willie and the G Farms team welcomed me with open arms, and repeatedly provide me with opportunities to grow.  From Willie’s contagious work ethic, Kelsey’s eagerness to help me every step of the way, to learning more about each customer’s story - I truly feel at home with G Farms. As my first month with G Farms comes to a close, I feel as if I have already learned so much, yet have still barely scraped the surface.  I am very excited for the journey ahead, and look forward to serving all of you!
