Here's Me
Corey Musser
Howdy, my name is Corey Musser. I am 21 years old and I live in Terrell, Texas. I am a senior at A&M Commerce and I am majoring in criminal justice. For as long as I remember, I have always enjoyed the outdoors. In my spare you will find me outdoors hunting and fishing.
I started my internship with G Farms May 2021. I’m excited about the opportunity to learn the various skills it takes to run a successful farm, as well as, the talent it takes to work with the sister company DC and H Construction. I’m very thankful for my former youth pastor, Blake Marlow, who shared with me about the G farms internship program.
Willie and I met to discuss the roles and responsibilities of the business internship program and before I could say Mooo I got my-self the job. I have set a goal for myself to be the best intern G Farms has ever had. I know I have some large boots to fill but I am a very motivated person. The first week at G Farms Willie and Kelsey told me it was going to be like drinking from a water hose and they where not kidding. I took in so much information that I felt like I became the walking version of google. I loved it though, it was challenging and I was learning a lot of different things. I started making my introductions to the G Farms customers, studying how the company functions, all awhile soaking in the information like a sponge.
The first book I was assigned to read was called Raving fans by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles. The book focused on customer service and the three steps that get a business to have raving fans. This was a quick and easy read which was a huge win since I am not a fan of reading. One of the things I found valuable and applicable to everyday life was to delivery + one. To delivery + one means to give that extra 1% on top of your 100% full effort. I am now in a book called Fanatical Prospecting by Jeb Blunt. This book is focused on how to gain prospects while keeping your raving fans. It is a little bit more of a difficult read but definitely provides a lot of information. Stay tuned. Get some!
