1+1 can equal 3

Have you ever been in a conversation where the ideas and thoughts being shared just seem to click, where everyone involved seems to be on the same wavelength, and where the end result is something truly amazing?
This is the essence of synergy… habit 6 in this weeks reading.

 Communicating synergistically means opening your mind and heart to different realities and possibilities. It requires vulnerability and comfort with (or at least tolerance of) uncertainty and some level of chaos. In its essence, synergy is a creative process.

Synergy is not just about agreeing with each other or avoiding conflict. It is about embracing diversity and recognizing the value of different perspectives. When you communicate synergistically, you are open to the possibility that your own ideas may not be the best or only solution. You are willing to listen to others and incorporate their ideas into your own. This requires vulnerability and a willingness to let go of your own ego and biases.

This weeks reading has been a good lesson for myself, and my children!! Its been a great teaching opportunity to  show them that even though they all think differently, it’s they can work together to come up with better ideas than they may have started with. 

I challenge you to look for an opportunity to communicate synergistically this week!
